Someday

2009 July 5

Someday, one day,

There will come a day,

When my soul won’t feel empty anymore.

When I will turn out to be just like before.

I miss the girl, who could smile,

Even when the world was vile.

Maybe she let go of her essence,

Because situations were a hindrance.

But now she knows better,

And someday, one day,

There will come a day,

When she will smile again, from her soul.

Aside from the fact I love your image. The poem is absolutely beautiful and very poignant. I was actually exploring these thoughts myself only a few minutes ago, telling a friend about my childhood and how I miss it. I have tried and tired to work up a poem on this but I can never seem to get the words right. But you have.

Thank u hitchy. Isn’t sadness a part of life? The best part comes when it makes you optimistic and not dejected.

Today is the day, that someday,
You wont have to wait for any other day,
    Your soul will blossom,
    Your soul will smile,
Let the world loose its essence,
or let the world go vile,
Be like a flower, and put a smile,
    Spread the fragrence for eternity,
Its what you were looking for,
    It is not a serendipity!

Paras,Manushree & hitchy i just tried weaving your message in it..:)

Very well written Neha..Good going..i would like to invite you for a Haiku-tweetup…wondering whts that?.. then just drop a tweet!

This one touched me profoundly.. Somewhere down the line, we all have lost our smiling, cheerful, carefree selves.. for the sake of “growing up”, at a great personal cost! Blessed are those who manage to rediscover that youthful spark!

I feel so tempted to quote from The dark Knight-

You have changed things, there is no turning back…… Not today not someday :-)
