I could give you all my heart.
Only if it was left in me,
Only if it wasn’t torn apart.
I could be the one for you,
I could love you like you love me.
Only if my soul was intact,
Only if it wasn’t bruised badly.
I could look forward to a life with you,
I could picture you and me.
Only if I wasn’t hopeful,
Only if I didn’t want it to come back to me.
Now all I can ask you,
Is if you’d agree,
If you could make do,
With just a lil’ piece of my heart…

Oh no, what I meant was that, normally poets write either about the eyes or the heart and I guess its heart that always lead.
How I wish there are poems on teeth, or tonsils, or fingers, or you know, you know, something different ?
I remember one such poem:
Chubby cheeks,
dimple chin,
rosy lips,
teeth within,
Curly hair,
very fair,
eyes are blue,
lovely too
(OMG how racist is that poem!!!!)
WRITING POEMS HAS NEVER GOT ON TO ME WELL . I HAVE ACUTE PROBLEMS WITH RHYMING. U LOOK COMFORTABLE WITH THIS TALENT.
MY COUSIN ,A DOCTOR, WROTE A POEM ABOUT DOCTORS EXAMINING A CANCER PATIENT

Well, sometimes a little piece can be enough too. Even if its not, thats all you could give.

and just when u think u’re used to a lil piece of heart,
u get gifted a whole one, with love that is limitless…
