Happy Blog Birthday to me!!
Amidst the cacophony and hullaballoo of life, I missed celebrating my blog’s birthday which was on September 17th. Anyway, better late than never!
So finally the blog is one year old! It has been an amazing, enlightening and fun journey. I had been writing since many many years but hadn’t gotten around to blogging. Finally created a blog to beat boredom at office 
and guess why I chose WordPress? Coz blogspot was blocked in office! :lol: (but I’m glad coz WP is so much better).
Although I started blogging on September 17th 2008, I posted sporadically until April’09. And then I did that NaBloPoMo thingy in May, which set the ball rolling and got me many readers. And I sooo love you all! I found great friends here. Recently I realized that even a blog can make you meet some really wonderful people (met Abhishek and Hitchy).
Over this one year, I have gone from bland uninteresting posts with comments in single digits to (I think ) somewhat better posts with many many lovely comments. Through the blog, I have rediscovered my love and penchant for poetry as well.

Got to say Happy Birthday to your blog! I was expecting a delicious fruit cake over here.
I also started few blogs but most of them left unused because of English language. Well, I could use my native language in my blogs but I love writing in English. As I have a very little knowledge in English, I always feel limited while attempting to write something in English. Probably that’s why my Blogs died before I could celebrate any birthday.
However, now I have numerous blogs and luckily all of them are active although there is no improvement in my English.
And yes, WordPress is hundred times better than Blogger.com. I’m happy your office blocked Blogger.com which made you use WordPress. Self-hosted WordPress is a lot more better than WordPress.com blogs. If possible, try it!
